There's No Place Like Home...

In June of 2003 we purchased a 29 acre farm in the Shenandoah Valley. Primarily, this was to allow us to further pursue our vineyard and winery endeavours (see the Work Stuff section). I really love it out here. We're on the foothills of Brush Mountain and have some nice views of the Massanutten mountain range and the George Washington National Forest. On a clear day, we can see parts of Skyline Drive from the back of the property.

Here's a few shots from around the property.

Here is a picture I took from the front of the house overlooking Bentonville after a snow storm in December 2003.

Another shot taken of the house.

This one was taken during summer 2003.

With this much land to care for, we needed a 'big' tractor. Here's my toy, bought in July 2003. She was named 'Marjorie' after my late Grandmother.

Before moving out to the 'boonies', I had a townhouse in Gainesville, VA. It was a nice little place, I was there for four years and made a number of improvements while there.

Here is a photo:

Taken of the front of the townhouse just after I moved in.
